” Wow” or ” Oh My God ” are 2 typical reactions to photographs that are unashamedly designed to tear at your heartstrings and to provide you with beautiful works of art that will grace your wall for many many years to come.

Those were our words when we first saw such photographs and the first questions we asked is ” how do they do that?”. We travelled to some of the top baby photographer’s in the country and after some 9 months of training and thousands of miles on the clock, we now know how they did it and have learned the skills.

It is unlike any other form of photography in that it is extremely time consuming and takes a certain type of person with patience and gentleness to coax your baby into the poses. We all know that everything becomes so much more time consuming when a new born enters the house but our recently redesigned studio has all the facilities that you will need to make the whole experience enjoyable. Sarah, our photographer has helped design the studio and has a degree in childcare studies. She can be seen at work here.

This type of photography must be seen as an investment. An investment in time as the average session takes 3 to 4 hours and an investment in capital as this is a high quality product . This is not something that will be here today and gone tomorrow so all photographs are produced on high quality art paper in a good quality frame. You will be able to choose the frame from a selection in our viewing room. Even so we are maintaining our comittment to keep photography accessible.

Ideally the photographs should be taken before the baby is 3 weeks old and as the sessions take so long we have to be careful not to over promise.

We are restricting baby sessions to 4 per week and it is sensible to plan ahead and put your name down even before the baby has been born. We recognise that babies dont always arrive when we are expecting them and so the time is subject to alteration at short notice.
